Jandex / Resources
Resource hub

Every page in Jandex, and when to open it.

One entry for each item in the dashboard navigation: what it shows, how to read it, what it needs to work. Set the switch above to your platform and anything unavailable is marked, with the reason.

57 pages documented

Start here

What Jandex is, how your data gets in, and what to expect on day one.

What Jandex is

A reporting layer that sits on top of Klaviyo or Omnisend and answers the questions the native reporting will not.

What you are looking at

Every page is built from your own sending history. Nothing is estimated and nothing is sampled. Campaigns, flows, subscribers and orders are pulled on a schedule and stored, so you can look at trends that go back further than the platform lets you.

How to use it

Treat Jandex as the place you go to decide what to send next, and your email platform as the place you go to send it.

You need

One connected Klaviyo or Omnisend account.

Connecting your account

You connect through the platform login screen. Jandex never asks for an API key.

What you are looking at

Open Integrations, pick Klaviyo or Omnisend, and approve the permission screen on their side. You get sent back and the first sync starts on its own.

How to use it

Connect the store you actually want to report on. If you run several stores, connect each one, then switch between them from the account selector at the top of the dashboard.

You need

Admin access on the Klaviyo or Omnisend account you are connecting.

The first 48 hours

Backfill is paced on purpose so it does not exhaust your platform API limits.

What you are looking at

Day one pulls a limited slice of history, day two pulls more, and after about two days the account moves to the normal sync schedule. Campaign and flow numbers appear first. Anything based on orders takes longest because there is the most of it.

How to use it

Do not judge the numbers on the first evening. Check again after two full days, when the backfill window has closed.

You need

Nothing. This runs by itself once you connect.

Klaviyo and Omnisend are not the same

Some pages only exist for Klaviyo accounts. That is a limit of the Omnisend API, not a missing feature.

What you are looking at

Omnisend does not expose order history to apps. Orders placed through your store never reach the app through their API, so anything that needs an order timestamp cannot be built. That is why Omnisend accounts have no LTV Curve, no Cohort Retention, no Replenishment and no Churn Risk Radar. In exchange, Omnisend accounts get Customer Value and Lifecycle Trends, which Klaviyo accounts do not need because they have the real order data.

How to use it

Use the provider switch at the top of this page. Anything dimmed is not available for that platform, and the article tells you why.

You need

Nothing. Availability is set by which platform the account is connected to.

Home

The landing view.

Home

The opening screen for the selected account. Headline numbers plus anything that needs your attention.

What you are looking at

Revenue, sends and engagement for the current period, with the change against the period before it. Alerts surface here first.

How to use it

Open it at the start of the week. If nothing is flagged, the account is behaving and you can go straight to whichever page you came for.

You need

A connected account that has finished its first sync.

Campaigns

Five ways to read the same campaign history. Pick the one that matches the question.

Overview

Every campaign you have sent, newest first, with the numbers that matter on each row.

What you are looking at

Recipients, open rate, click rate and attributed revenue per send. Rates are recipient weighted, so a large send and a small send are compared fairly.

How to use it

Start here when someone asks how a specific campaign did.

You need

Campaign history synced from your platform.

Multi-View

Several campaigns side by side instead of one long list.

What you are looking at

The same metrics laid out for direct comparison, so differences in performance are visible without scrolling.

How to use it

Use it when comparing a set of related sends, like every campaign in one promotion.

You need

At least two sent campaigns.

Preview View

The campaign list with the actual email creative shown next to the numbers.

What you are looking at

A rendered preview of what went out, paired with how it performed.

How to use it

Use it when you are trying to work out whether the creative or the offer drove the result. Numbers alone will not tell you that.

You need

Campaigns with creative captured during sync.

Metrics View

A denser table built for scanning many sends at once.

What you are looking at

More columns, less decoration. Sortable so you can rank by whichever metric you are judging on today.

How to use it

Use it for quarterly reviews, or any time you need to rank a lot of campaigns quickly.

You need

Campaign history synced from your platform.

Calendar and Cadence View

Your sends laid out on a month grid.

What you are looking at

Each send sits on the day it went out, so gaps and clusters are obvious. It opens on the most recent month with activity.

How to use it

Use it to check cadence before planning next month. Three sends in one week followed by ten quiet days is easier to see here than in any list.

You need

Campaign history synced from your platform.

Reports and deliverability

Client ready output and inbox placement.

Reports

Prepared reporting for a period you choose, in a form you can send to a client.

What you are looking at

Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly views of performance with the comparison against the previous period already worked out.

How to use it

Use it on report day instead of rebuilding the same summary by hand every time.

You need

At least one full period of synced history.

Deliverability

Whether your email is reaching the inbox, tracked over time rather than as a single score.

What you are looking at

Bounce, spam complaint and unsubscribe behaviour by send, with the trend line that matters more than any one campaign.

How to use it

Check it before you increase sending volume, and any time open rates fall without an obvious creative reason.

You need

Campaign history synced from your platform.

Flows

Automated sending: what is live, what it earns, and what quietly broke.

Overview

Every automation on the account with its revenue and engagement.

What you are looking at

Flow level totals so you can see which automations carry the account and which are decoration.

How to use it

Start here before building anything new. Most accounts have more upside in fixing a live flow than in adding another one.

You need

Flow history synced from your platform.

AI Flow Analyzer

Klaviyo only

A written read on a flow, produced from that flow's own numbers.

What you are looking at

Where people drop out, which message underperforms the rest, and what to change first.

How to use it

Use it when you know a flow is weak but cannot tell which step is responsible.

You need

A Klaviyo account with flow history and enough sends for the step level numbers to mean something.

Automation Analyzer

Omnisend only

Every automation email on the account ranked by the revenue it earned over the last twelve weeks.

What you are looking at

Four summary cards, then one row per email with a weekly revenue sparkline. Three flags appear where earned: Engagement decaying, for three straight weeks of falling open rate on fifty or more sends. Revenue falling. Underperformer, for an open rate below sixty percent of the account median on one hundred or more sends. Automations that are switched off are dimmed and tagged OFF.

How to use it

Work top down. The highest earning email with a decay flag is the most valuable thing you can fix this week.

You need

An Omnisend account with at least a few weeks of automation history.

Flow Crawler

The real structure of each automation, read straight from the platform.

What you are looking at

Every step, branch and delay in order, including the paths most people forget they built. Changes are detected automatically, so the view stays current.

How to use it

Use it to audit an inherited account, or to confirm a flow is actually built the way the brief said it was.

You need

A connected account with at least one automation.

Flow Scheduler

Klaviyo only

Control over when flow data is refreshed for the account.

What you are looking at

The refresh schedule and its last run.

How to use it

You rarely need this. It exists for accounts with unusual volume where the default schedule is not the right fit.

You need

A Klaviyo account.

Flow Control

Klaviyo only

Which flows are being tracked.

What you are looking at

The tracking state for each automation on the account.

How to use it

Use it to stop pulling data for retired flows so they stop appearing in reporting.

You need

A Klaviyo account with at least one automation.

Performance and analysis

Timing, comparison and the share of the business email is actually responsible for.

Comparison Tracker

Two periods placed against each other, with the difference worked out for you.

What you are looking at

Every headline metric for both periods and the change between them.

How to use it

Use it before a client call so you can answer whether this month beat last month without doing arithmetic live.

You need

Two periods of synced history.

Heat Map

Engagement by day and hour, split between real human opens and machine opens.

What you are looking at

A grid where the strongest cells are the times your list genuinely engages. The human and machine split matters because privacy proxies open email automatically and will otherwise flatter your best hours.

How to use it

Use the human side to choose a send time. Ignore the machine side for that decision.

You need

Enough send history to fill the grid. Accounts that send once a week take longer to produce a usable pattern.

Click Latency

Klaviyo only

How long people take to click after an email lands.

What you are looking at

The distribution of time between delivery and click, rather than a single average.

How to use it

Use it to set flow delays. If most clicks arrive within four hours, a twenty four hour delay to the next step is wasting attention.

You need

A Klaviyo account with click history.

Time to First Purchase

Klaviyo only

How long a new subscriber takes to place a first order, modelled step by step through the funnel.

What you are looking at

The conversion at each stage rather than one blended number, so you can see where new subscribers stall.

How to use it

Use it to decide how long a welcome series should run and where the offer belongs.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history synced.

Email Frequency

Klaviyo only

The sending frequency that earns the most, found in your own data.

What you are looking at

Revenue and engagement grouped by how many emails a subscriber received in a window, so the point where more sending stops helping is visible.

How to use it

Use it to settle the send more or send less argument with evidence instead of instinct.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history and a reasonable spread of sending frequency.

Email Revenue Share

Email revenue as a share of total store revenue, tracked month by month.

What you are looking at

A line for the share over time, with a table underneath showing email revenue, store revenue and the resulting percentage for each month.

How to use it

This is the number to open a client meeting with. It answers what email is worth to the business, not just what email did.

You need

Store revenue available to the account. Without it the share cannot be calculated.

Retention

What happens after the first order. Most of this section needs real order timestamps, which Omnisend does not give apps.

Customer Value

Omnisend only

Your Omnisend contacts sorted into lifecycle stages and spending tiers, measured once a day.

What you are looking at

A card per lifecycle stage with its customer count, its share of scored customers and a bar for scale, plus buyer counts and spend tiers.

How to use it

Use it as the Omnisend stand in for RFM. Champions falling and At risk climbing over a few weeks is the signal to act on.

You need

An Omnisend account. Jandex creates a small set of read only segments in your Omnisend account to measure this. They are named so they are obvious and must not be deleted.

Worth knowing

Freshly created segments report zero while Omnisend builds them. The next daily measurement corrects it.

Overview

Klaviyo only

New against returning customers over a period you choose.

What you are looking at

A chart you can switch between customers, revenue and percent returning, with controls for the period and whether points are grouped by week or by month.

How to use it

Use it to check whether growth is coming from new buyers or from the base buying again. Those two need completely different email programs.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history synced.

LTV Curve

Klaviyo only

How much a customer is worth as time passes since their first order.

What you are looking at

Cumulative value plotted against time, so you can see when most of a customer's lifetime value actually arrives.

How to use it

Use it to justify acquisition spend and to decide how long to keep emailing a lapsing customer.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history synced.

Customer RFM

Klaviyo only

Your customers scored on how recently they bought, how often, and how much.

What you are looking at

Named segments such as champions, loyal and at risk, with the size of each.

How to use it

Use it to pick who a campaign goes to. Sending the same email to a champion and to someone who lapsed a year ago wastes both.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history synced.

Retention Report

Klaviyo only

A prepared retention summary for a period.

What you are looking at

The retention picture in a form you can hand to a client without editing.

How to use it

Use it on report day when the client cares about repeat business rather than campaign performance.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history synced.

Cohort Retention

Klaviyo only

Customers grouped by when they first bought, then tracked forward.

What you are looking at

A grid where each row is a starting month and each column is a month after it, showing how much of that group came back.

How to use it

Use it to tell whether recent customers are better or worse than the ones you acquired a year ago. It is the cleanest read on whether the business is improving.

You need

A Klaviyo account with at least several months of order history.

Repeat and Churn Rates

Klaviyo only

The share of customers who buy again, and the share who stop.

What you are looking at

Both rates over time rather than as a snapshot.

How to use it

Use it as the health check for the base. A rising churn rate is a problem long before revenue shows it.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history synced.

Churn Risk Radar

Klaviyo only

Customers who look like they are about to stop buying, named individually.

What you are looking at

A ranked list based on how far past their normal buying gap each customer is.

How to use it

Export the top of the list and give it a win back campaign. This is the most directly actionable page in the section.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history synced.

Replenishment

Klaviyo only

How long your customers usually wait before reordering.

What you are looking at

The typical gap between orders, which is the correct timing for a reorder reminder.

How to use it

Use it to time replenishment flows to your actual data instead of a guess like thirty days.

You need

A Klaviyo account with repeat order history.

RFM Movement

Klaviyo only

Customers moving between RFM segments over time.

What you are looking at

Who improved, who slipped, and how many did each.

How to use it

Use it to prove a retention program is working. Movement out of at risk is the result, revenue is the lagging effect.

You need

A Klaviyo account with order history across several periods.

Repeat Purchase Timing

Klaviyo only

When the second order tends to happen after the first.

What you are looking at

The distribution of the gap between first and second order.

How to use it

Use it to set the timing of the post purchase flow. The second order is the one that decides whether a buyer becomes a customer.

You need

A Klaviyo account with repeat order history.

Subject lines and testing

What to put in the inbox line, judged on your own sends.

Subject Line Leaderboard

Your subject lines ranked by how they actually performed.

What you are looking at

Best and worst performing lines with the numbers behind each.

How to use it

Use it before writing. Your own winners are a better starting point than a swipe file from another brand.

You need

Campaign history synced from your platform.

Subject Word Insights

The individual words and phrases that move your open rate.

What you are looking at

Words that appear in your sends, with the average performance of the sends that used them.

How to use it

Use it to find the language your list responds to. Treat small samples carefully, one lucky send can carry a word up the list.

You need

Enough campaign history for word level patterns to appear.

Discount Dependency

How much of your revenue only arrives when you discount.

What you are looking at

The split between discounted and full price sends, and what each earns.

How to use it

Use it to catch the slow slide into a list that will not buy without a code. Fixing that early is much easier than fixing it late.

You need

Campaign history synced from your platform.

A/B Testing

Klaviyo only

Your past tests, kept in one place with their results.

What you are looking at

What was tested, what won, and by how much.

How to use it

Use it so the same test does not get run twice a year apart. Klaviyo only, because Omnisend does not report variant level data to apps.

You need

A Klaviyo account with tests that have run.

List health and audience

The size and quality of the list you are sending to.

Subscriber Health

The state of your list: how it is growing and how engaged it is.

What you are looking at

Active subscriber counts tracked over time, with growth and loss.

How to use it

Check it monthly. A list that is growing in size while falling in engagement is heading for a deliverability problem.

You need

A connected account with subscriber data synced.

Auto List Clean

Klaviyo only

Finding the subscribers who should be suppressed.

What you are looking at

People who have stopped engaging for long enough that continuing to email them costs more than it earns.

How to use it

Run it before a large send. Cleaning is the cheapest deliverability improvement available.

You need

A connected account with engagement history.

Hidden Best Customers

Klaviyo only

Valuable customers who are not being treated as valuable.

What you are looking at

People whose spending puts them near the top of your list but whose engagement or segmentation has them grouped with everyone else.

How to use it

Use it to find the VIP list you should already have had.

You need

A connected account with customer value data.

Audience Builder

Klaviyo only

Building a segment from the conditions Jandex knows about rather than the ones the platform offers.

What you are looking at

A builder that works on real engagement, including opens filtered down to human opens only.

How to use it

Use it when the segment you want cannot be expressed in Klaviyo's own segment builder.

You need

A Klaviyo account with engagement history.

Studio and workspace

The build side: writing, design, review and client facing views.

Assistants AI

Three assistants that already know your account.

What you are looking at

Creative Strategist for subject lines, copy and campaign ideas in your brand voice. Data Assistant for quick answers about campaigns, flows and account data. Personal Analyst for deeper analysis and recommendations.

How to use it

Ask the Data Assistant before opening a page. It is usually faster than navigating for a single number.

You need

A connected account that has finished its first sync.

Email Studio

Beta

Where an email gets written and designed.

What you are looking at

Copywriting and design tools with your brand and past sends as context, including import from Figma.

How to use it

Use it to take a campaign from idea to built email without leaving the account it belongs to.

You need

A connected account.

Client Proofing

Beta

Sending work to a client for approval and getting comments back in one place.

What you are looking at

A shareable review link. Clients comment on the work itself instead of replying to an email thread.

How to use it

Use it to stop feedback arriving in four different channels.

You need

An email or design ready to review.

Client View

Beta

A read only dashboard you can give a client.

What you are looking at

The numbers that matter to them, without the working parts of the platform.

How to use it

Send it instead of building a slide deck for every check in.

You need

A connected account with synced history.

Email Planning

Beta

The month plan, shared with the people who need to see it.

What you are looking at

A date for each send with a brief attached, plus notes and files the team can see. Clients can comment on any planned send.

How to use it

Use it as the single agreed plan so the calendar, the brief and the feedback all live together.

You need

Nothing beyond an account to plan for.

Competitor Research

Beta

What other brands in the category are sending.

What you are looking at

Collected competitor email, organised so you can look for patterns rather than one off examples.

How to use it

Use it for cadence and offer benchmarking, not for copying creative.

You need

Nothing beyond an account.

Email Slicer

Cutting a full design into email ready sections.

What you are looking at

A design you upload, sliced into pieces sized for email with the boundaries under your control.

How to use it

Use it when the design arrived as one tall image and needs to become a real email.

You need

A design file to slice.

Data Feeder

Turning your campaigns and flow emails into screenshots the assistants can actually see.

What you are looking at

Captured images of your sends, attached to the account so assistant feedback is grounded in the real creative.

How to use it

Run it before asking an assistant to critique creative. Without it the assistant is working from metrics alone.

You need

A connected account with campaigns or flow emails.

Tools

The smaller utilities, including countdown timers.

What you are looking at

A countdown you can generate and drop into any email as an image. It renders from the current time whenever it loads, so it stays accurate.

How to use it

Use the countdown for a genuine deadline. It stops working on you the moment customers learn the deadline is not real.

You need

Nothing beyond an account.

Account

Connections, products and alerts.

Integrations

Where accounts get connected and disconnected.

What you are looking at

Every connected store, its platform and its current state.

How to use it

Open it from the account menu at the top right, not the sidebar. Come here to add a store, or to disconnect one. Disconnecting revokes the access Jandex was given.

You need

Admin access on the account you are connecting.

Top Products

Which products your email actually sells.

What you are looking at

Products ranked by revenue attributed to email.

How to use it

Use it to choose what to feature. The best seller in the store is not always the best seller in the inbox.

You need

A connected account with product level order data.

Anomaly Detector

Automatic detection of things that changed without anyone deciding they should.

What you are looking at

Flagged changes in sending and performance, including a live flow that has gone silent, which is the one most likely to be quietly costing money.

How to use it

Check it weekly. It is designed to catch the problems nobody thought to look for.

You need

A connected account with enough history to establish what normal looks like.

Billing and Plans

Your plan and what it includes.

What you are looking at

Current plan, what is covered, and how to change it.

How to use it

Open it from the account menu at the top right, not the sidebar. Come here to upgrade or to check what your plan allows.

You need

Nothing.

Nothing matches that search.
